ALASKA WASTE

Driver looked down the road and determined from over 400 feet away he could not get the truck down the road. I took a picture of the spot he stopped at and the spot he determined he could not get by. The space was about 15 feet wide. Repeated problems with these guys using any excuse they could to not do their job. Go with Northern Waste and save yourself the hassle.

I've had great experiences with Alaska Waste... until recently. Was told that I should expect to pay for weeks of service in which their trucks fail to pick up my can (which has been ongoing for 2+ weeks now). If that's their policy, then it's terrible. They should at the very least automatically waive fees for weeks in which their trucks are unable to pick up customers' garbage.

Our driver is always so friendly! On time like clockwork. Aware of other cars and pedestrians. Our recycling Driver on 2/16/24. Came back to empty my recycling after I’d forgotten to put it out and I called up wondering if he could come and recycle it after I’d seen him go by and he did with a smile and it was very well appreciated for taking the extra time, thanks much

Have lived on same street for years in Eagle River. No trash collection this week or contact by Ak Waste. When calling they gave excuse street is too slick for their truck.! The street is almost clear and was graveled three days ago. They made it the weeks before when street was far worse. Won’t credit account for dump fee of $18. Poor customer service. Not the company it used to be. 😩

These guys are Super Heroes! After our December record breaking snowfalls, we were unable to dig out much of the snow in front of our dumpster, after the plow guy moved the snow in front the dumpster and buried it. Due to physical limitations, though we tried, to dig it out, we did did a poor job. ( We would have done just as good a job using chopsticks. ) Along comes SUPERMAN driving the HULK! AKA Alaska Waste! (Ok, I was peeking out the window and holding my breath when they pulled up) They lifted out the dumpster like butter melting on a hot biscuit! Alaska Waste, Wasilla, You’re the best! Thank you again, for a job well done. For many years, you have done an exemplary job, and can always be counted on to be on schedule, and meet our changing needs. You’re the BEST! Have a productive 2023!

The worst experience I have had with another business. Our company used them once for a property clean out back in May. I ordered a 40yd dumpster was told by Travis ,the Territory Manager, they had one. The day they delivered they tried to pass off a 30yd dumpster. Only found out it wasn’t a 40yd dumpster until a city worker came to our job site and told me it wasn’t. I took measurements and sure enough it wasn’t. I called Travis asked him about it and then I got the story “oh we have been running low” let me get back to you. Sure enough the guy wrote down on the paper work it was a 40yd but in fact it was only a 30yd. They lied. Travis said they would give me a 20% discount off the whole bill at the 30yd dumpster rate. Here we are Sept 1., and they still haven’t gotten my bill right. I have been told numerous times by Travis he would correct the bill and send me the new one. Still haven’t gotten the correct bill, but I have more late fees! I can’t trust Travis’ word nor their companies word.
